Locoto Chilli Originating from Ecuador, the Locoto chilli is a unique Capsicum pubescens variety, closely related to Rocoto Red and Manzano. Known for its thick-walled, meaty pods, this prolific producer is ideal for making fiery sauces or pastes. The pods ripen from green to vibrant red, measuring about 5 cm tall and 2.5 cm wide, and contain signature black seeds. Its striking blue-violet flowers and ability to withstand cooler climates (4–21°C) make it a standout in both performance and appearance.
