The Anaheim Pepper, renowned for its excellent stuffing qualities, originates from New Mexico and flourishes in Anaheim, California. Growing up to 1 metre tall, this prolific plant produces large, mild-flavoured pods with tough skins that peel easily after charring and steaming. Though available year-round, it peaks in summer. When fully ripe and red, the pods are known as “Chilli Colorado” or “California Red Chilli.” Impressively, the plant grows from seed to a generous 20 cm fruit in less than 80 days.
